Cesare Simeoni Leoni was born in Florence in 1997. He graduated in Political Science at the School of Political Sciences “Cesare Alfieri” of the University of Florence, and is currently a graduate in International and Diplomatic Sciences at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.

During his studies he focused in particular on the history and politics of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, as well as on international security dynamics, having chosen the “International Security” curriculum for his master's studies.

He did an internship at the Italian Embassy in Athens in 2022 and participated, in 2023, in the Advanced Course in Intelligence and National Security at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Florence. Finally, since June 2024 he has been a voluntary civil service operator in Tunisia at the international cooperation organization ARCS Culture Solidali, more precisely at ARCS Tunisia Tataouine. In this role, he collaborates on projects concerning the protection of local cultural heritage, sustainable development and the conscious use of resources, not least water resources, in the governorates of Tataouine and Grand Tunis.

Role in AB AQUA

Cesare joined the AB AQUA team in April 2024, as a Research Fellow; he deals with scientific research and the production of content, such as papers and reports, relating to the sustainable management of water resources and the impact that this can have on international politics and economics.
