Eleonora Sala holds a Master’s degree in Politics and International Economics from the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, where she received the Merit Award for academic excellence. She completed specialized training in diplomacy at the SIOI – Italian Society for International Organization, as well as advanced education programs including the Executive Master in Sustainability Management (ISTUM) and the Master in Leadership for International Relations and Made in Italy from the Italy-USA Foundation.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences also from the University of Bologna, and obtained a Diploma in European Affairs from the ISPI – Italian Institute for International Political Studies. Eleonora has participated in several Erasmus international mobility projects in Spain and Turkey, as well as in extra-academic training initiatives focused on sustainability and European cooperation. Throughout her professional experiences, she has completed internships at the Embassy of Italy in Turkey, where she worked on cultural diplomacy, geopolitical and economic analysis, and institutional communication. She has also collaborated with organizations in the healthcare and consulting sectors, supporting activities such as administrative management, reporting, project monitoring, and human resources coordination. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to deepen her expertise in Lean and Risk Management tools in an international context.

Role in AB AQUA

Since September 2025, Eleonora Sala has been serving as a Research Fellow at AB AQUA. In this role, she contributes to research and analysis on hydrostrategy and the sustainable management of water resources, adopting an approach that integrates diplomacy, geopolitics, and international economics. She is also involved in the development of the international network and the promotion of outreach and strategic collaboration activities, supporting the organization’s mission.
