On October 25, 2023, Dr. Filippo Verre held a Guest Lecture at the University of Siena. As part of the International Economics course, various hydro-strategic issues were discussed with an economic approach.

Water has become a commodity in all respects, on a par with gold, oil, diamonds, etc. By virtue of this, it is no longer possible to ignore its role within international politics and economics.

For this reason, the study, analysis and in-depth analysis of hydro-strategic dynamics become essential to be able to address and, in some cases, anticipate tomorrow's challenges regarding water supply and the political balance associated with it.

We thank the many students who participated in the lesson with many questions and the great interest shown during the lesson.
