Ilaria Clemente holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Naples “L’Orientale.” She completed a specialization program in diplomacy at SIOI – the Italian Society for International Organization – and earned an Executive Master from the Italy-USA Foundation in Leadership for International Relations and Made in Italy, receiving an award at the Chamber of Deputies for academic excellence At the same university, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations, with a focus on Asia and Africa, during which she studied the Chinese language throughout the three-year program. She participated in several international mobility programs, including Erasmus+ in Finland and TransAlp in France, where she earned the Baccalauréat Général diploma. She has also taken part in extra-academic training initiatives on European integration and cooperation issues, organized by the SSIP – Permanent Seminar of International Studies – and MSOI Naples. During her professional experiences, she completed an internship at the Embassy of Italy in Congo-Brazzaville, where she worked on cultural diplomacy and economic analysis. She also collaborated with a private training school, teaching English and conducting activities related to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Role at AB AQUA
Since October 2025, Ilaria Clemente has been a Research Fellow at AB AQUA. In this role, she contributes to research and analysis on hydrostrategy and the sustainable management of water resources, adopting an approach that integrates diplomacy, geopolitics, and international economics.
