

Nicole Bernoni is an economist with extensive expertise in econometrics, behavioral economics and statistical analysis. She holds a master's degree in Economics and a bachelor's in International Relations. Her research focuses on water resource management, the international trade of virtual water and the socio-economic water balance. She has conducted fieldwork in Tunisia, analyzing virtual water exports through agricultural products.
Additionally, she secured funding through an international cooperation call for proposals to develop a project exploring risk perception in water management using game theory within a Nairobi slum. Beyond her academic and research experience, Nicole has a strong background in volunteering, having participated in several national humanitarian missions, as well as an international mission in Nicaragua. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to global development challenges and have shaped her interdisciplinary approach, combining quantitative research with practical engagement in complex socio-economic contexts.
