Sara Gavioli holds a degree in Modern Languages with an international focus from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She went on to earn a Master’s in International Relations, completing part of her studies through an Erasmus program at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she specialized in European and international law. She later obtained a postgraduate diploma in Diplomatic Studies. Sara began her professional journey in Marseille, completing an internship at the Italian Chamber of Commerce for France. Through the MAECI-CRUI program, she was selected to join the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in Geneva, where she served as an adviser under the supervision of First Secretary Stefano Crescenzi. She subsequently deepened her expertise in Italian export dynamics in North America as a Sales Specialist working alongside the CEO of Coop Italian Food. Later, she collaborated with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), conducting research and data collection in support of ongoing rural development projects. Since 2022, she has been an active member of UNICEF’s local committee in Venice and has participated in volunteer initiatives in Kenya and rural areas of China. Her background reflects a deep commitment to international cooperation and sustainable development, grounded in the belief that communities can serve as powerful drivers of growth and change in an ever-evolving world.
Role at AB AQUA
Since October 2025, Sara has served as a Research Fellow at AB AQUA, combining research activities with project development support. Her work focuses on producing articles and thematic analyses, as well as contributing to the preparation of research proposals and projects.
